Ping Pong Story
Ping Pong Story (PPS) is an online community for children, educators, and parents, where users can create the most amazing stories while immersed in a fun environment.
Ping Pong Story is a web platform that offers an innovative writing experience that allows children to write stories online, add their own images, connect with other kids, and share their stories with their loved ones.
As a digital literacy tool, Ping Pong Story utilizes non-formal education to promote children’s development of writing and reading skills, while stimulating imagination, creativity, and collaboration. There is a version of the site for individuals - parents and children - as well as a version for educators of educational institutions. The version for individuals aims to promote child-to-child and child-to-parent involvement, while the version for institutions aims to enrich the teaching and learning experience within the classroom.
Utilizing interactive digital media, Ping Pong Story provides the infrastructure of a fun and engaging environment that encourages learning and cooperation between children.
Problem: Children’s literacy levels are changing and decreasing, while digital media and Internet usages by children are increasing.
Solution: Ping Pong Story combines the powerful teaching tools of storytelling and story writing with digital media technology, to play a constructive role in providing powerful solutions to national educational challenges through literacy.
